Are backlinks still an SEO factor? Apparently, still! However, with notes, backlinks are quality (quality backlinks) and only as supporters. Content remains the main. Content will always be the King!

The main characteristic of quality backlinks is a.l. from popular sites, dofollow, in posts, different IP addresses, and relevant anchor text.

In the guide in Google Blogger Support, Google said it would punish "cheating" in building backlinks.

Google will ignore backlinks that are built for free by many sites that offer free backlinks.

So, in conclusion, backlinks are still important for blogs, but only quality backlinks. Therefore, backlink building still needs to be done, in a quality way too.

However, Backlinks are not the main determinant of Google ranking. JohnMu from Webmaster Central Help Forum writes:

In fact, many "careless" blogs can be ranked in the number one Google. The default template is blogger. There is complete, detailed, and scientific content. College assignments! You often find it too right?

So, it turns out the influence of backlinks is still there for SEO, but with a different understanding.

Backlink is no longer a determinant of a website to occupy pages in search engines, but only a reference to get sources of traffic and help increase authority domain (Domain Authority / DA) and page authority (Page Authority / PA) in lieu of Pagerank (PR).

Given the difficulty of getting quality backlinks, the effort that can be done is to write content or articles as well as possible, as completely as possible, as unique as possible.
